The annual campaign "Gazeta Pobedy" was held in South Ossetia in honor of the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The organizers of the action were the Republican youth public organization "United Alania" and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic.
As the organization told the news agency "Res", the activists had distributed about a thousand copies of the historical newspaper "Pravda" – dated May 9, 1945."
"It was from this issue of the publication that the news of the Great Victory over German fascism reached all corners of the Soviet Union," the youth organization stressed.
They noted that the action took place on the Theater Square of Tskhinval simultaneously with the action "St. George's Ribbon", which started on May 6.
Copies of newspapers were distributed in Znaur, Leningor and Dzau districts. In general, the activists distributed almost 1000 Pravda newspapers from 1945 and 2500 St. George ribbons
Residents and guests of the Republic received the symbol of victory with joy and sincere warmth and shared their good wishes."

It should be noted that once, in the distant 45th, the festive issue of the Pravda newspaper swept across the entire Soviet Union like the flame of Victory. At that time when there were no Internet information resources, it became the bearer of overwhelming victorious news.
The historical action is supported by the international union "Heirs of Victory", the All-Russian youth organization "Young Guard of United Russia" and others.
