Inhuman cruelty: President of South Ossetia expressed condolences to the head and residents of Tatarstan

President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov sent a telegram of condolences to President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in connection with the tragedy in Kazan, which resulted in human casualties, the press service of the head of state said on Tuesday.

""The scale of the tragedy that occurred today at school No. 175 cannot be imagined or expressed in words. Pain and sorrow overwhelm the heart in connection with the inhuman cruelty towards defenseless children," the telegram of condolences reads.

On behalf of the people and the leadership of the Republic, Bibilov expressed deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the terrible events, and wished all the victims a speedy recovery.

In Tatarstan, May 12 has been declared a day of mourning for those killed in the shooting at Kazan gymnasium No. 175. The corresponding decision was made by President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov.

On Tuesday, May 11, as a result of the shooting at gymnasium No. 175 in Kazan, according to the authorities of Tatarstan, seven children and a teacher were killed, and another 21 people were injured. The National Anti-Terrorism Committee reported that the shooting killed seven children and injured 16 students and staff at the gymnasium. The head of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, said that a 19-year-old boy had arranged the shooting, and the weapon was officially registered for him. Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons).
