On Thursday, researcher of the Department of Economics, of the Z.N. Vaneev South-Ossetian Research Institute Vyacheslav Dzhabiev took part in two international theoretical and practical conferences, which were held in Russia, in the city of Yekaterinburg and in the capital of the Donetsk People's Republic. At both conferences, which were held online, he made scientific reports.
As Dzhabiev told IA "Res", the XII Ural Demographic Forum "Paradigms and Models of Demographic Development" took place in Yekaterinburg. “The purpose of the Forum is to strengthen scientific cooperation, exchange experience and results of scientific achievements of Russian and foreign scientists in the field of demography and related disciplines, to improve research strategies and develop practical recommendations on paradigms and models of demographic development,” said the scientist.
According to Vyacheslav Dzhabiev, this Forum traditionally brings together representatives of the scientific community, authorities, public organizations dealing with issues of social, demographic and migration policy.
“Within the framework of the Forum, was held a visiting meeting of the Scientific Council at the Department of Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences “Demographic and Migration Problems of Russia”. Following the results of the Forum, the articles of the participants will be published in the collection of scientific papers (RSCI). Some articles (at the discretion of the Organizing Committee) will be published in the journal Human Progress (VAK) ...”, - he said.
According to the researcher of the South-Ossetian Research Institute, the work of the Forum was divided into five thematic areas: 1. Demographic modernization of Russia: historical aspect. 2 Models of natural movement of the population in the context of socio-economic development of regions. 3 The role of civil society in the formation and implementation of demographic policy. 4 Social and psychological factors of influence on the models of demographic development. 5 Population migration: modern paradigms.

On the same day, the 5th International Practical Conference “Ways to improve the efficiency of administrative activities of public authorities in the context of socio-economic development of territories” was held in Donetsk.

The conference was attended by scientists from the DPR, LPR, Russian Federation, South Ossetia and other countries, heads of business structures, government and local authorities, institutions and organizations. The purpose of the conference was to find the ways to improve the efficiency of the management activities of state authorities in the areas of law, education, economics, finance, social policy,” said Dzhabiev.

In this conference, Vyacheslav Dzhabiev also made an online scientific report: "Legal regulation of food security in the Republic of South Ossetia."
As noted by the researcher, a collection of conference materials will be published based on the results of the conference.
