More than 50 patients with COVID - 19 are being treated at the RMMC of South Ossetia

As of July 8, 51 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID - 19 are being treated in the "red zone" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center of South Ossetia (RMMC), Eleonora Dzhioeva, the Republic's chief infectious disease specialist, told the “Res” news agency.

“Over the past day, three patients were admitted to the “red zone” of the medical center, one person was discharged with recommendations to continue treatment on an outpatient basis. 22 people are receiving oxygen subsidies. There is one patient in the intensive care unit,” said Dzhioeva.

36 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in South Ossetia in a day (34 a day earlier), there is an increase in the incidence in the Republic.

The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic is 3650, 3419 have recovered. In total, during the pandemic in South Ossetia, 24,975 tests were carried out for coronavirus infection.

In the Republic, since the beginning of May, the population is being vaccinated against the coronavirus by the Russian Sputnik V, about 600 people have been vaccinated, and about 2 thousand people have been tested.
