The South Ossetian party announced at the meeting in the IPRM format about the growth of violations on the state border, which are committed either by representatives of the Georgian police, or with their connivance, said the head of the South Ossetian delegation Yegor Kochiev, commenting on the results of the meeting in the IPRM format in the Ergnet settlement on Tuesday.
“A certain representative of a Georgian non-governmental organization, David Katsarava, violated the state border with South Ossetia, earlier the Georgian police tried to keep him out of the border. This time it looks like their approach has changed. David Katsarava even shot a whole film in which he poses against the background of an information border sign. Naturally, we will suppress all these violations, these facts are brought to the attention of the international community,” he said.
Kochiev has noted that the South Ossetian delegation once again reminded that the presence of an illegal Georgian post in the village of Uista destabilizes the situation in the area.
“We have noted that the way to resolve this situation is through the withdrawal of this post from the territory of South Ossetia,” he said.
The South Ossetian participants in the meeting also drew attention to the violation of the airspace of the Republic by aircraft from Georgia
“We cited as an example two cases that took place since the previous meeting in the IPRM format - a helicopter and a light-engine aircraft from the Georgian side flew into South Ossetia. We pointed out to the Georgian side that such actions are inadmissible, that this is a direct path to the incident, the responsibility for which will fall entirely on the Georgian side,” he said.
According to him, since the previous meeting in the IPRM format, five Georgian citizens were detained for violating the state border, they were interrogated and expelled on the spot.
The meeting also discussed the epidemiological situation in South Ossetia and Georgia, it was noted that in the last of them it is much worse.
