Mourning events in memory of the victims of the terrorist act in the Beslan school in 2004 are taking place these days throughout South Ossetia. On Friday, on the Theater Square of Tskhinval, the action "Unfinished lesson ... dedicated to the Children of Beslan" is taking place. Traditionally, 334 balloons were launched into the sky according to the number of victims of the terrorist attack.
Hundreds of people came to recall the tragic events that took place 17 years ago, including representatives of the leadership of South Ossetia, deputies of the Republic's Parliament, the public, pupils and teachers of secondary schools, students.
Stands with photographs of the innocent children and adults were erected near the Kosta Khetagurov square, children's toys, notebooks, water ... which the victims of the terrorist attack so needed are on the ground under them. Lamps with burning candles.

Then President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov was interested in the opinion of teachers and parents of schoolchildren about the postponement of the beginning of the school year and it was decided to start studies on September 5.
This year, the beginning of the school year fell on a day off (Sunday), in connection with which, studies will begin in all schools of the Republic on September 6. The only state university in the Republic will start its studies on September 4.
