President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov awarded Anna Popova, head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, with the Order of Friendship.
According to the press service of the head of state, the wording of the decree says that the chief state sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation was awarded “for her great personal contribution to the development and strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, assistance and support provided to the Republic in fight against the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19”.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and the Head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee Marina Kochieva.
The issues of interaction and further measures to counter COVID-19 were discussed.
Anatoly Bibilov expressed gratitude to Anna Popova "for the promptness of resolving the issues facing our respective services."
“Marina Mukharovna reported to me that you are constantly in touch and resolve all issues online. We were really not ready for the situation that had developed all over the world, indeed from the very beginning there was not everything necessary, and the promptness of resolving these issues directly by you played a huge positive role,” Anatoly Bibilov said.
He noted that with the direct participation of the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Russia, specialists from Stavropol and North Ossetia were connected to help South Ossetia.
“I know you are always ready to help, so once again I want to say gratitude to you and to show my great respect,” the President said.
Anna Popova thanked Anatoly Bibilov for such a high assessment of her activities, noting that "friendship between the peoples of Russia and South Ossetia does not imply any other relationship except help and support."
She highly appreciated the work of Marina Kochieva and the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee. subordinate to her, noting that she was incredibly satisfied with the activities of the head of the department and her subordinates.
“In our work, it is very important to foresee what will happen in 3-5 days, how many patients may appear. The caution of colleagues from South Ossetia and the correct understanding, constant preparation, are evident. I would like to note that colleagues from South Ossetia participate in all events, scientific and practical conferences. We will always support their desires, if any,” said Anna Popova.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor, in turn, presented her colleague with the main departmental award, noting that Marina Kochieva is "a member of the large team of the sanitary and epidemiological surveillance system".
