At the press conference in Tskhinval, the Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia told reporters about the specifics of this year's elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
“The State Duma is the main legislative body that determines the vector of our development, therefore, the future of our children and grandchildren will depend on the voice of everyone,” the Ambassador said and noted that the necessary measures in connection with the pandemic would be observed in all areas.
“All polling stations will be sanitized, all voting participants will be provided with protective equipment: masks, gloves, individual pens. Social distance will also be. observed. If any of the citizens has health problems, they can call a special number and leave an appeal. After the registration of the appeal, the members of the commission will leave and give the right to vote,” the ambassador noted.
He has added that South Ossetia has always been a politically active republic.
“I hope the turnout will be high. The Russians living in South Ossetia should not stand aside, we are waiting for everyone at the polling stations,” Kulakhmetov shared with journalists.
At the press conference it was also discussed the possibility of voting for people who are in the "red zone". According to the Russian Ambassador, negotiations will be held with the Health Ministry of the Republic, but the decisive factor will be the condition of the patients.
According to the Ambassador, maximum attention will be paid to this topic so that all citizens can vote.
