For contribution to the development and strengthening of friendly relations and in connection with the celebration of the 31st anniversary of the formation of the Republic, President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov presented state awards - the Order of Friendship - to the guests who had arrived at the celebration in Tskhinval.
The Order of Friendship was awarded to - Abkhazian Foreign Minister Daur Kove, Deputy Speaker of the People's Assembly and member of the Parliamentary Friendship Commission of Syria and South Ossetia Muhammad Akrama Al-Ajlani, Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Commission of Syria and South Ossetia Yusef Al-Salame, Chairman of the People's Council of the DPR Vladimir Bidevka, Chairman of the Committee of the People's Council of the DPR Valery Skorokhodov, Chairman of the People's Council of the LPR Denis Miroshnichenko and Chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Communications, Information Policy and Mass Media of the LPR Denis Kolesnikov.
The distinguished guests received the state awards from the hands of the President at the solemn meeting in honor of the Republic Day.
According to the head of state, those "who were awarded the Order of Friendship are really friends of South Ossetia."
“I want to thank the representatives of the Syrian Arab Republic who have passed a long way and came to share the joy of the holiday with the South Ossetian people. Thank you, on behalf of the people of the Republic, on my own behalf and on behalf of all the participants in the solemn meeting,” the President said.
The guests, in turn, expressed their deep gratitude to the head of state for the warm welcome and high award.
It should be noted that delegations from Russia, Syria, Abkhazia, LPR and DPR arrived at the celebrations in Tskhinval. On Monday, in honor of the holiday, a solemn meeting "Native land - my Iryston" was held at the State Drama Theater with the participation of public and political figures and guests of the Republic.
The celebration of the Republic Day will end with a concert on the main square of the capital and a firework show.
