The intergovernmental meeting on the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Donetsk People's Republic and the Republic of South Ossetia in the field of trade, economy, culture, sports and tourism was held in the videoconference mode, in which members of the governments and chambers of commerce and industry of the two republics took part, the press service of the government reported.
For the South Ossetian part, the event was moderated by Prime Minister Gennady Bekoev, for the part of the DPR - by Aleksey Nikonorov, the head of the administration of the head of the DPR Alexey Nikonorov. .
They discussed the deadlines of the roadmap implementation, the supply of goods that may be in demand in the markets of the republics, customs control, settlement mechanisms, phytosanitary and veterinary control, as well as the development of relations in the field of culture and tourism.
“At the suggestion of the heads of our republics, the practical interaction of South Ossetia and the Donetsk People's Republic should reach a new level. A lot of work has already been done to establish close cooperation, including on the development of a roadmap for the implementation of the agreement, which outlines specific measures in the field of trade and economic cooperation, cultural exchange, youth policy, and tourism. Our goal to note the results of the next year with new joint achievements,” said Gennady Bekoev.
For his part, Alexei Nikonorov expressed his readiness for cooperation in all areas of activity of the two republics, and invited the government delegation of South Ossetia to meet face-to-face in the DPR capital at the economic forum dedicated to trade and economic cooperation with Russia and partner countries.
During the meeting, it was noted that the work on the opening of diplomatic missions of the two republics and interdepartmental agreements in the governments of the RSO and DPR had already begun.
