President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov instructed the Defense Minister Ibragim Gasseev to conduct a drill review of the units of the armed forces of the Republic and present on Thursday a report on the state of forces and means of military equipment, weapons, personnel, as well as readiness for possible provocations from Georgia. The relevant instruction was made to the Minister at the cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
The head of state drew attention to the difficult foreign policy situation.
“We see how the events are unfolding in Ukraine. Georgia may well try to carry out provocations on this front. I am waiting for your report, which you have long ceased to provide me. Tomorrow at 11:00 I am waiting for the report,” the President said.
The head of state urged the officials to take their duties responsibly: "We don't have time to stop working, we don't have to relax."
“The work of the government is aimed at solving social issues that are associated with improving the quality of life of the population. I demand that everyone be responsible for their work,” the President said, noting that preparations for the presidential elections in the Republic should not affect the work of the executive branch.
