Observers from the Luhansk People's Republic noted a high voter turnout. The head of the delegation, deputy of the People's Council of the LPR, Denis Kolesnikov, noted the high level of democracy in the elections.
“Today we visited the polling stations, saw how the elections are being held, saw the mood of the people, that is, I can say that democratic processes are going on at the highest level,” Kolesnikov said.
He wished the people of South Ossetia peace and a bright future, noting that volunteers and servicemen from South Ossetia are at the forefront, defending the borders of their native land shoulder to shoulder.
“A low bow to each of them. You are a heroic people who stood next to the fraternal people today at such a difficult hour,” he said.
Olga Koptseva, deputy of the People's Council of the LPR, has noted that no violations were found at the polling stations.
“When visiting the polling stations, a high activity of the population was noted, citizens are consciously coming and make their choice. During the visit to the polling stations, no violations were detected, and the activity of citizens, especially in rural areas, is high. People are happy to go to the polls, they consider this step their duty and are taking an active part in these elections,” she said.
