The total turnout of voters in South Ossetia, who took part in the voting for the presidential elections in the Republic, by 14.00 was 40.4 percent, the head of the CEC of the Republic of South Ossetia, Emilia Gagieva, told the “Res” news agency.

According to Gagiyeva, 46.9% of voters voted in the Dzau district by 14.00, 56.2% in the Znaur district, 50.2% in the Leningor district, 41.7% in the Tskhinval district of the Republic, and 51.5% in Kvaisa. and in the city of Tskhinval - 35.8% of voters.

Gagieva has noted that the winner will be determined by a simple majority of votes. The incumbent President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov and the leader of the Nykhas party Alan Gagloev are contending for the highest post in the Republic.
