The safe future of the people of South Ossetia and protection from external threats is the most important thing today, President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov said during a live broadcast on his Instagram page, commenting on the issue of the Republic of South Ossetia joining the Russian Federation.
“I see the serious development of South Ossetia when joining Russia in absolutely all spheres of life, this will be an event of historical importance, and the happiest day for me and for every Ossetian, a citizen of our republic,” Bibilov believes.
According to him, in the event of re-election to the post of president, his first step in joining the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation will be to express great gratitude to Russia and the people of the Republic, who have achieved a historical, strategic goal.
“This is the goal that we set for ourselves, as our ancestors did. If we talk about the future of our Republic as part of the Russian Federation, then it will receive comprehensive development. Those conditions that are in the Russian Federation for all peoples will also apply to the inhabitants of South Ossetia, including social guarantees and opportunities for federal, national programs," the President said.
