President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has met with the head of the Official Representation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Russian Federation Leonid Manakov, who arrived in Tskhinval to attend the inauguration ceremony of the elected president, the press service of the head of state reports.
The meeting was also attended by acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Medoev and the Head of the Official Representation of the PMR in South Ossetia Alan Pliev.
Greeting the guest, the President thanked him for his visit to South Ossetia.
“I am grateful to you for taking the time to visit South Ossetia to participate in the solemn event. I am convinced that the relations that have developed between our Republics will reach a new level,” he said.
Alan Gagloev has also addressed the words of gratitude with best wishes to the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky and expressed the hope that in the future there would be more festive reasons for visiting friendly countries.
In turn, Leonid Manakov wished Alan Gagloev good luck in the highest state position, emphasizing that Pridnestrovie, like South Ossetia, had experienced military aggression.
“Each time we were closely following the events in the Republic of South Ossetia, which experienced the military aggression by Georgia. Today, South Ossetia, thanks to its strategic partner, the Russian Federation, is living in peace and prosperity,” he said.
