President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev held a meeting with Minister of Justice of the Republic Oleg Gagloev, the press service of the head of state reports.
Oleg Gagloev told the President about the results of participation in the 10th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, the world's largest platform for professional dialogue between lawyers from different countries.
According to him, meetings with colleagues from other countries were also held on the sidelines of the Forum, issues and prospects for interdepartmental cooperation were discussed.
“Discussions took place on various topics of law. In addition, we talked with our colleagues from the Russian Federation, Abkhazia and a number of other countries. We agreed on further cooperation,” said Oleg Gagloev.
He has stressed that it is planned to sign a Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Justice of Abkhazia this autumn.
“A specific plan of measures for interagency cooperation will be determined after the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Abkhazia, which is currently at the draft stage. One of the key areas of cooperation will be the digitalization of the justice bodies of the two countries.
We had a very fruitful conversation and worked with the Federal Bailiff Service, including cooperation and methodological assistance to the Bailiff Service of South Ossetia.
Another important event was the meeting with the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Konstantin Chuichenko. We agreed to continue further cooperation, a number of measures were planned to improve the capabilities of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of South Ossetia. We will continue working together. I hope there will be results within a year,” said Oleg Gagloev.
The President inquired about the issue of pensions for employees of the Ministry of Justice.
Oleg Gagloev has noted that the solution of this issue is one of the primary tasks.
Alan Gagloev instructed to keep the issue under control.
“Many employees are waiting for this issue to be resolved. We will be working in concert,” the President said.
