The Parliament of South Ossetia made changes to the program of socio-economic development

On Friday parliamentarians of South Ossetia at the session introduced, by the order of the government, amendments to the State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of South Ossetia for 2022-2025.

As noted by the Chairman of the profile committee Alan Tekhov the government's order was prepared in order to eliminate infrastructural restrictions for doing business in priority sectors of the economy and increase the investment attractiveness of the Republic of South Ossetia.

“The presented list includes measures to eliminate infrastructural restrictions in the field of road facilities, solve problems with water supply and sanitation in the city of Tskhinval and districts of South Ossetia, reconstruct the electrical infrastructure of the Republic with the additional installation of commercial electricity metering devices, and build a system for reclamation of agricultural land in the Tsinagar-Orchosan zone of the Leningor district , the reclamation of a solid waste landfill north of Tskhinval, the reconstruction of the hydroelectric complex of the Zonkar reservoir, as well as the laying of a fiber-optic line in the directions: Tskhinval-Leningor, Tskhinval-Ruk-Edys, Gufta-Kvaisa-Koz and Tskhinval-Znaur-Nyfsykau", - he noted.

According to Alan Tekhov, the presented measures will make it possible to fulfill the requirements of subparagraph 2 of paragraph 6 of the Decision of the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Commission on socio-economic cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation dated March 5, 2022 in terms of the formation of the Investment program to promote the socio-economic development of the Republic for 2023-2025 years.
