Several explosive devices were found in one of the households of the capital of South Ossetia on Thursday, Atsamaz Bitiev, senior duty officer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, told the “Res” news agency.
“Grenades and cartridges were found on June 8 Street in a private household during the construction works. The call came from the owner of the house at 12:20. Sappers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene. The ammunition was successfully seized and taken out for subsequent destruction,” Bitiyev said.
Among the finds were F-1 and RGD grenades with a fuse, VOG-17, 64 cartridges for a 7-62 caliber assault rifle and 48 cartridges for a carbine caliber 7-62 by 54.
