The serviceman of the 4th military base of the Russian Federation stationed in South Ossetia, military doctor Vladimir Kuleba was awarded the Order of Courage by the decree of the President of Russia. He was seriously wounded in combat during the special operation. A high award was presented to him for his dedication, courage and bravery shown in saving people.

Vladimir Kuleba graduated from the Tskhinval School No. 3, studied at the Tskhinval Medical School.

From 2006 to 2008 he was serving in the Peacekeeping Forces in the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict.

At the end of the August war, Vladimir entered the Kabardino-Balkarian State University at the Faculty of Medicine.

After graduation he returned to his homeland, and in 2015 he entered the service at the 4th military base of the Russian Federation, where he has been serving to this day.

In 2017, he took part in the Russian military campaign in Syria.

Vladimir went to the Donbass on April 26 as a military doctor of his group.

As Kuleba himself told IA “Res”, he had to provide the first necessary aid to the fighters and pull them out of the battlefield.

“I was providing first aid to the wounded, then we called a special vehicle that evacuated them to a safe place,” said Vladimir. “The soldiers were being injured of varying degrees of complexity, when providing medical assistance, the main thing is to always act decisively, but deliberately.”

According to Vladimir, his group was constantly at the forefront.

“On May 19, I received a severe shrapnel wound, on the same day Atsamaz Tedeev and Atsamaz Kachmazov were killed in the battle,” is recalling a serviceman who spent two months after being wounded in the hospital in Zaporozhye region.

When asked if he had a feeling of fear in battles, Vladimir replies that "only a fool is not afraid of anything."

“There is a feeling of fear, but you need to overcome your fear, and a sense of duty and responsibility helps to overcome it,” Kuleba explains.

Vladimir Kuleba has noted that he does not regret his choice to become a military doctor for a single minute, and is ready to return to the ranks after rehabilitation.

“I want to express my gratitude to all the guys who carried me wounded from the battlefield, to the doctors who saved me, and to all those who were always there, no matter what,” Kuleba has concluded.

A military doctor is not an easy profession, but it is extremely necessary, the main task of a doctor during combat operations is to provide emergency qualified assistance to wounded comrades, and judging by the award that was presented to Vladimir, he is coping with the tasks assigned to him perfectly.
