President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has met with the delegation of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania headed by the Chairman of the Parliament of North Ossetia-Alania Alexei Machnev, who arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the celebrations in honor of the Republic Day of South Ossetia. This was reported by the press service of the President.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the RSO Parliament Alan Alborov and Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Alexander Pliev.
Greeting the guests, Alan Gagloev has noted that in the south of Ossetia people always felt the support of the North Ossetian brothers.
“We all remember very well how many victims and tragedies the people of South Ossetia endured. In the most difficult years of the formation of our Republic, you were next to us. And it is very important that in the future our relations are multiplied and strengthened for the benefit of the Ossetian people, because we have one goal - a strong, prosperous Ossetia,” the head of state said.
In turn, Alexei Machnev has stressed that North Ossetia intends to further develop cooperation between the republics.
“This day is a holiday not only for the people of South Ossetia, but also for North Ossetia. We should be together on such a festive day. I would like to see as many holidays, joy, happiness and prosperity as possible on the land of South Ossetia," he said.
