Forced migrants from the DPR visited one of the most picturesque places in South Ossetia - Lake Koz, Dzau district. The trip, organized by Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Tatyana Tskhovrebova, took place on a significant day for the Donetsk residents - the day Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the agreements on joining the LPR, the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation.

“We came to one of the most beautiful places in our Republic – Koz Lake. Together with us, our guests from the Donetsk People's Republic came to get a little distraction from the situation that is now happening in their homeland, so that they experience positive emotions. The LPR, the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions have become part of Russia, and together we are celebrating this significant event in our Republic. I hope that after a long time they will remember this day with a smile on their faces,” Tskhovrebova said.

The Children's Ombudsman has also expressed her gratitude to the head of the Road Transport Department Albert Dudaev, who provided the IDPs with a vehicle.

According to Elena Lazareva from the DPR, everyone was pleasantly impressed by the beauty of nature and the lake.

“We had a great opportunity to visit this wonderful place. The road seemed difficult, but everyone withstood it. Today, a very important event has taken place for us, which we have been waiting for a very long time. It was a long time of our patience. Thanks to South Ossetia, we were able to move a little away from these tragic events. We have been waiting for a long time when we can finally become full-fledged citizens of the Russian Federation, ”said Lazareva and congratulated all compatriots on this historic event.
