South Ossetia plans to build comprehensive relations with the Republic of Crimea, - Prime Minister

Prime Minister of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev met on Friday with the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov as part of a two-day working visit of the South Ossetian delegation to Crimea.

This was reported by the press service of the government.

The agenda of the meeting has included interregional issues related to the development of trade, economic and cultural ties between South Ossetia and Crimea.

Expressing sincere gratitude to Sergei Aksenov for his time, Konstantin Dzhussoev conveyed to him warm greetings and best wishes from President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloev.

Thanking for the kind words, the head of the Crimea addressed his best wishes in response to the top leadership of South Ossetia, and noted with satisfaction the high level of bilateral dialogue.

Konstantin Dzhussoev has noted that South Ossetia plans to build comprehensive relations with the Republic of Crimea.

“We intend to further strengthen our ties, develop interaction within the framework of the agreement between South Ossetia and Crimea, signed in April 2019. Together with our colleagues, we will have to form a joint action plan for the next period. I think we will be able to build relations with Crimea in such areas as economy, culture, tourism, education, science, service, and youth policy. There is a good potential for developing cooperation in the field of agriculture and entrepreneurship,” Konstantin Dzhussoev said.

The head of the South Ossetian delegation thanked the Crimean leadership for the warm welcome and stressed that he would like to further expand and strengthen cooperation between South Ossetia and Crimea with his visit.

Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov expressed confidence in the successful continuation of cooperation.

“I am sure that we will succeed, dear Konstantin Khasanovich. During his visit to Crimea, Alan Eduardovich and I worked out a number of areas for cooperation, and thank you for continuing to work on a bilateral agreement. We cooperate with educational institutions, cultural organizations, I am sure that your visit today will provide new opportunities for the Republic of Crimea, for entrepreneurs from South Ossetia and Russia working in Crimea.

We have a lot in common, and we will make every effort to ensure that our joint cooperation program is as extensive and useful as possible,” Sergey Aksyonov said.
