On Monday, President Alan Gagloev received a delegation from the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic, which arrived in Tskhinval on a working visit, the press service of the head of state reports.
The delegation has included the head of the municipality of Cherkessk Valery Deduk, adviser to the mayor of Cherkessk Alexei Statsenko, adviser to the head of the KChR on humanitarian cooperation with South Ossetia Eduard Khugaev and deputy of the Duma of the municipality of Cherkessk Albert Dzugaev.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the administration of the city of Tskhinval, Geno Kadzhaev.
Alan Gagloev thanked the guests for their visit and conveyed his best wishes to the head of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic, Rashid Temrezov.
“We have great respect for the multinational people of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic. It is significant that on New Year's Eve a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the capitals of South Ossetia and the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic. It should be noted that the agreement involves an increase in the level of interaction in almost all areas,” he said.
The President also touched upon the issues of international security.
“The geopolitical situation in the world has changed dramatically. But, despite the difficulties, I am sure that together we will come to victory,” he said and wished health, well-being and peace to the entire people of the KChR.
The head of the municipality of Cherkessk, Valery Deduk, thanked Alan Gagloev for the warm welcome and assured that he would make every effort to strengthen friendly relations.
