The Republic's leadership, with Russia's support, is strengthening the combat readiness and professionalism of its military personnel, the head of state Alan Gagloev said at the final press conference.
"The Russian Federation and South Ossetia have signed relevant agreements, on the basis of which the borders of South Ossetia are guarded by the border service of the State Security Committee and servicemen of the border department of the FSB of Russia. We have a common security contour and an attack on one party will be regarded as an attack on the other party," the President said.
At the same time, he has noted that security issues, given the current difficult times, have come to the forefront and the Republic's leadership maintains a constant dialogue with Russia on the security front.
The President has assured that if certain risks arise, the Republic's leadership will take all measures to protect citizens, adding that, first of all, it will do everything possible to prevent any risks.
