At the personal invitation of the President of the Association, rector of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy, Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev is taking part in the XV Congress of the Eurasian Association of Universities the press service of the South Ossetian State University told IA “Res”.

Based on the results of the meetings held in 2023, South Ossetia State University will sign agreements with one of the largest Arab universities, the world famous Cairo University Ain Shams (Egypt), the Tajik National University, the second most important university in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Banja Luka University, Belarusian State University, National University of Science and Technology of the State (Sultanate) of Oman and others,” the press service said.

It was noted that within the framework of the meeting between Vadim Tedeev and rector of the Moscow State Linguistic University Irina Kraeva, a decision had been made to sign an agreement on interuniversity cooperation in the near future.

“Rectors of the South Ossetian State University and Moscow State Linguistic University identified linguistics, translation, etc. as priority areas of cooperation. During the communication between Vadim Tedeev and Viktor Sadovnichy, issues of further cooperation between South Ossetian State University and Moscow State University, as well as issues of more efficiency in all areas of cooperation between the South Ossetian University, institutes of higher education and scientific and educational organizations in Russia. President of the Russian Union of Rectors Viktor Sadovnichy accepted the invitation of his South Ossetian colleague to pay a working visit to the South Ossetian State University in 2023,” the agency’s interlocutor has emphasized.

He has added that during the working meeting with the Chairman of the Union of Rectors of the South of Russia, President of the Southern Federal University, Marina Borovskoy, rector of the South Ossuary State University accepted the invitation to visit the Southern Federal University in the near future.

“Vadim Tedeev also had a conversation with the Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation Vladimir Filippov. The issue of creating a peer-reviewed scientific journal VAK in humanitarian, exact and natural areas was discussed.

On the invitation of Vadim Tedeev, the well-known politician and scientist Askar Akaev will visit South Ossetian State University with a lecture for staff and students in 2023,” the press service noted.

They added that "Vadim Tedeev met with rector of the Donetsk National University (DonNU) Svetlana Bespalova, colleagues discussed issues of further cooperation and noted the high efficiency of interuniversity work."

The press service of the university reminded that in 2022, two lecturers of the South Ossetia State University, Irina Bekoeva and Varvelina Dzhioeva, defended their PhD theses in the walls of the DonNU, and more than twenty young scientists are writing scientific dissertations in the universities of Donbass.

It should be noted that to date, South Ossetian State University has signed cooperation agreements with 58 universities in Russia and neighboring countries, with which the university is effectively cooperating.
