In South Ossetia, the decision of the operational meeting of the Security Council introduces a ban on the use of drones during events dedicated to Victory Day - May 9, the press secretary of the President of the Republic Natalia Bosikova said.
"In order to implement additional measures to ensure security in the Republic during the celebration of Victory Day: in the period from 09.00 May 7 to 09.00 May 10, is introduced a ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles of any type in the airspace of the Republic," Bosikova said.
According to her, in accordance with the decision of the Security Council, the State Security Committee, the ministries of defense and internal affairs, the State Security Service were instructed to ensure control of the airspace of the Republic and the suppression of flights of unmanned aerial vehicles from 09.00 on May 7 to 09.00 on May 10 using available capabilities.
