Contacts of South Ossetia with the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District should be intensified at all levels, and the trip of President Alan Gagloev to Mineralnye Vody once again showed that the leadership of the Republic is giving and will continue to give this priority attention. This is stated in the comments of the first Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office Soslan Dzhusoev, posted on the website of the Presidential Executive Office

According to Dzhussoev, the Caucasian Investment Exhibition was held this year for the first time and attracted more than 3,000 guests. "I think the event will become regular and the participation of South Ossetia in it will be just as regular. For the republic, this is, firstly, an opportunity to develop contacts with the regions of the Caucasus. Secondly, at such events you can always get acquainted with new ideas and evaluate the prospects for them implementation in our republic,” he said.

Dzhusoev noted that the participation of President of South Ossetia in the exhibition was an important factor.

“Personal participation of Alan Eduardovich in the work of the exhibition is also useful, since the event was held with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, who is also the Chairman of the Russian part of the IPC. This is another opportunity to maintain contacts with the leadership of the Russian Federation and communicate on socio- economic issues that are relevant to us,” he said.

Dzhusoev has also noted the development of integration ties with the Caucasian republics.

“No less important is the fact that Ossetia in historical and cultural terms is an integral part of the North Caucasus. Therefore, relations with the friendly Caucasian republics are primary for us,” the official said.
