Representatives of the South Ossetian State University took third place at the VIII International Scientific Student Olympiad on the History of Economic Studies at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. This was reported to the news agency "Res" in the press service of the University.
The students were trained by lecturers of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship, professors of the South Ossetian State University Zhanna Kochieva and Elkan Kharebov.
“The Olympics consisted of two rounds. The first round of the "Individual-Team Intellectual Marathon" involved checking the most significant elements of knowledge of facts, events and innovations in the field of the history of economic thought. The second round "Labyrinth of Thoughts" was held on the basis of the creative question of the team in the format of the game "What? Where? When?".
The team allowed the use of demonstration plots, objects, a "black box", etc. For this round, our team prepared in advance two creative questions and a skit where the question was hidden. The jury evaluated not only the content of the question, but also the form of its presentation,” the press service said.
As noted at the University, following the results of the draw, young people from Abkhazia became the rivals of the South Ossetian students.
“The jury assessed the quality of both the questions themselves and the answers to them. The results were summed up in two directions - an individual competition and a team competition," the press service emphasized.
It has been added that the Olympiad on the history of economic studies is an important event for students, teachers and researchers who are participants in this event.
“Holding an Olympiad on the history of economic doctrines is of great importance for the development of economic science and opens up new opportunities for improving the knowledge of students.
