South Ossetia took part in the Future Technologies Forum “Computing and Communications. Quantum world. First Deputy Prime Minister Alan Dzhioev told reporters about the results of one of the most prestigious scientific and practical events in the field of quantum technologies and the agreements reached on its sidelines.

He has noted that the Forum was held in the Russian capital from 9 to 14 July. The South Ossetian delegation, in addition to the Deputy Prime Minister, has included First Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Galavanov, Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev and Head of the Savings Bank of South Ossetia Soslan Bekoev.

“It was a Forum for future technologies. In this case, it was specifically about quantum technologies, i.e. technologies of the future. This is an area that has a thousandfold potential for growth, this is what will change the future. I would like to hope that our graduates will be able to actively participate in all this,” said Dzhioev.

He has noted that the development of these technologies is a red thread that ran through all discussions within the Forum.

“This is a close synthesis of applied and fundamental sciences with entrepreneurial activity as a factor of production. On the sidelines of the Forum, the problems that exist in this regard were also discussed,” the Deputy Prime Minister shared.

Dzhioev told about the practical significance of the Forum for the Republic. According to him, in the course of such events, new horizontal ties arise.

“Undoubtedly, during the consultations, we established contacts, and preliminary agreements were reached. For example, rector of the South Ossetian State University made a preliminary agreement with the rector of the Bauman MSTU about improving the skills of our IT workers on the basis of a Moscow university. Alexander Galavanov had very meaningful conversations with deputies of the lower house of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation,” he said.

The First Deputy has added that the problems of the education system of South Ossetia were voiced. He continued that Bekoev had held a number of meetings with employees of the banking sector of the Russian Federation, during which preliminary agreements were also reached.

“The South Ossetian delegation took part in the plenary session held within the framework of the Forum under the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin. I want to thank our delegates for their active participation in the Forum and express the hope that I can thank them for the implementation of the preliminary agreements,” said Dzhioev.

The Vice Prime Minister thanked the Russian side, which had invited South Ossetia to participate in the Forum, and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic. Dzhioev also expressed hope for further close cooperation.
