Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Alexander Novak called the development of bilateral cooperation with South Ossetia and interaction in increasing the investment attractiveness of the Republic as the important factor.
“We see this as a guarantee of expanding trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation with the regions of Russia, including through the implementation of joint projects. Within the framework of the IGC, many specific practical tasks have already been resolved that meet the mutual interests of the parties,” Novak has noted at the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Socio- Economic Cooperation between South Ossetia and the Russian Federation.
During today’s meeting, the parties discussed the provision of financial assistance by the Russian Federation to South Ossetia in 2023 for the purpose of its socio-economic development, including the implementation of the agreements concluded within the framework of the development of the Treaty of Alliance and Integration, the state program “Socio-economic Development of the Republic” South Ossetia for 2022-2025,” the action plan to optimize the energy supply of the Republic of South Ossetia, previous investment programs, as well as customs interaction between the two countries.
