As part of the all-Russian campaign “Warmth for a Hero,” timed to coincide with Defender of the Fatherland Day, the South Ossetian charitable foundation “The Brotherly Solidarity” has announced the start of collecting assistance for the Ossetian battalions located on the fronts of the special military operation, Alan Pliev, Assistant to President of the Republic and president of the Foundation, told IA “Res ” .
“We are always in touch with our fighters from Ossetia, we support them and being in constant contact with them, we always know what they need first of all, of course, we cannot stay away from the nationwide action. Together with all Russian cities, South Ossetia has also begun collecting humanitarian aid to support and assist military personnel located in the special military operation, zone, undergoing treatment after injuries, as well as the families of the special military operation,participants,” the head of the Foundation has clarified.
He has noted that the campaign had already started on February 1. Within its framework, everyone can give any gift to the Ossetian fighters on Defender of the Fatherland Day - it can be letters from schoolchildren with words of support, or a warm gift.
According to Alan Pliev, “compatriots with an active lifestyle can give their gift to military personnel and sign it with their name.” The collection point for assistance is located in the building of the Sports and Youth Policy Committee.
It should be reminded that in January last year, President Alan Gagloev instructed to create a public organization in the Republic that would provide assistance to participants in the special military operation in Ukraine and their families.
