Relations between South Ossetia and Russia are developing dynamically, Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev noted during the around table in Tskhinval on the topic “Russian Presidential Elections 2024”.
He emphasized the importance of the upcoming Russian presidential elections in the context of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
“This partnership has been taking shape over more than one or two years; it is a historical process, the choice of our ancestors. Today we can say with great satisfaction that relations between South Ossetia and Russia have great dynamism in their development. The upcoming elections are of great importance,” Dzhioev has noted.
The Foreign Minister called on residents of South Ossetia to take an active part in the Russian presidential elections.
“I would like to urge our residents to come to the polls and vote for that person, for that guarantor who, ten years ago and before, helped strengthening the security of South Ossetia,” he has noted.
On the eve of the Russian presidential elections, a round table was held in Tskhinval, which brought together politicians, diplomats, leaders of political parties, experts and political scientists.
