Ambassadors of South Ossetia and Venezuela discussed a possible meeting between Alan Gagloev and Nicolas Maduro in Moscow

The establishment of trade, economic and investment cooperation between entrepreneurs of South Ossetia and Venezuela was discussed in Moscow on Monday by the ambassadors of the two countries to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and Jesus Velazquez. This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation.

According to the diplomatic department, Znaur Gassiev, at the invitation of Velasquez, visited the Venezuelan mission in Moscow on Monday.

“Issues of interaction were discussed, as well as meetings between Presidents Alan Gagloev and Nicolas Maduro. Znaur Gassiev thanked Jesus Velazquez for the warm welcome and expressed hope for an early friendly visit of the head of the Venezuelan diplomatic mission to South Ossetia,” the Embassy said.

The press service added, that Jesus Velazquez presented the South Ossetian Ambassador with a statuette of Comandante Hugo Chavez and said that he would be very happy if the South Ossetian Embassy was decorated with a sculptural image of the great revolutionary.

Znaur Gassiev has expressed gratitude to Jesus Velazquez for the honor and said that people of South Ossetia remember the noble determination of the commandant and people of Venezuela in recognizing the statehood of the Republic of South Ossetia in 2009.
