South Ossetia is building its future together with its strategic partner - the Russian Federation, President of the Republic Alan Gagloev said during the meeting with representatives of the International Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, who had arrived in the Republic in honor of the 16th anniversary of the recognition of the Republic's independence.
The head of state greeted the guests and expressed gratitude to them for participating in the festive events.
"We are always pleased when our friends are nearby. South Ossetia is building its future together with its strategic partner - the Russian Federation. We are ready for constructive and open work together with our colleagues. We are also strengthening relationships, establishing ties with other states," the President has noted.
Chairman of the Presidium of the International Public Chamber Alexander Olshevsky has noted that he highly appreciates the efforts of President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev in matters of integrating South Ossetia into the union state.
"It is a great honor to be present on the blessed Ossetian land on this significant day. We are always with you, we will be developing and strengthening the South Ossetian direction," he said.
Olshevsky also presented the President of South Ossetia with the medal "In the name of the Orthodox unity of the union state."
Alan Gagloev, in turn, awarded the jubilee medal "In Commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of the People of South Ossetia" to Olshevsky, the IPC member Valery Savlaev, and assistant to the chairman of the IPC presidium for the development of international cooperation and media interactions Naovaf Ibrahim. A decree was signed on awarding the member of the Bureau of the Presidium of the IPC Salavat Shcherbakov.
