A telephone conversation took place between the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, the press service of the head of state reports.
Alexander Novak congratulated Alan Gagloev and, in his person, all the people of South Ossetia on the 16th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation and wished them peace and further prosperity.
“I will continue to help in solving urgent problems of the socio-economic development of South Ossetia,” he said.
For his part, Alan Gagloev thanked Alexander Novak for his warm congratulations.
“The name of Russia for the people of South Ossetia is directly associated with fraternal assistance and deliverance from mortal danger. “Development and strengthening of strategic partnership is the most important priority, which is fully supported by the people of the Republic,” he said.
