A Council of Young Diplomats has been created under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
"The Council was created with the aim of intensifying the work with young employees, ensuring continuity and maintaining the traditions of the South Ossetian diplomatic service, supporting the growth of professionalism and qualification of young personnel," the Ministry has noted.
The Foreign Ministry has added that the first meeting of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Republic's Foreign Ministry took place on Monday.
"The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Council, the Head of the Department for Work with Foreign Institutions of the Foreign Ministry Aleksey Sanakoev, as well as the employees of the Foreign Ministry – members of the Council," the Ministry has emphasized.
During the meeting, Deputy Chairman, the Executive Secretary and the member of the Presidium of the Council were elected. The work plan for the Council for the coming year was drawn up.
The main goals and objectives of the Council of Young Diplomats are to assist in the professional adaptation and development of young employees newly hired by the Ministry, as well as to establish and maintain business contacts with young diplomats of foreign countries and youth public organizations.
The members of the Council may be employees of the MFA system under the age of 45 years inclusive.
