The delegation of South Ossetia took part in the III International Scientific and Methodological Conference "Current Issues of Teaching Russian as a Foreign/Native Language: Russian and Foreign Practices" in Stavropol.
As reported to IA "Res" by Vice-Rector of the South Ossetia State University, Head of the Department of Russian Language, Professor Zalina Tedeeva, the organizer of the conference is the North Caucasus Federal University.
"At the invitation of the University, we took part in the third International Scientific and Practical Conference. The conference participants were scientists from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Taiwan and other countries. The program was rich," Tedeeva said.
Tedeeva expressed gratitude to Rector of the South Ossetia State University Vadim Tedeev, thanks to whose support it became possible for the delegation of Russian scholars of the South Ossetian University to participate in the conference.
The South Ossetian delegation has also included: Professor of the Russian Language Department of the South Ossetia State University Elisa Gagloeva and Associate Professor of the Russian Foreign Literature Department of the South Ossetia State University Inal Tibilov.
As part of the event, the participants of the International Conference discussed current issues of the methodology of teaching Russian to foreign children and foreigners, and exchanged experience in teaching Russian to bilingual students.
