South Ossetia, as a part of the Russian world, always celebrates the National Unity Day together with the multinational people of the Russian Federation - November 4, President of the Republic Alan Gagloev, said, speaking at the ceremonial reception organized in Tskhinval by the Russian Embassy and the representative office of the Rossotrudnichestvo.

"Fighters from South Ossetia, along with servicemen from multinational Russia, are fighting fascism today in the special operation zone, risking their lives, just as their great-grandfathers did during the Great Patriotic War. History once again shows that strength is in truth, unity. It has always been on our side, and we are once again responsible and obliged to be together in such a difficult period of time," the President has noted.

Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov congratulated those present on the significant date, emphasizing that only unity has always helped Russia to survive in difficult times.

"Today, in difficult times, we are experiencing serious pressure from the West, which is trying to revive fascism, sow discord and break our great state. And it is unity that shows that we will survive. Our warriors are fighting fascism shoulder to shoulder. I am sure that we will win," he has noted.

Kulakhmetov emphasized that "we must always think about those people who are today carring out difficult combat missions in the special military operation zone, and also remember the soldiers who gave their lives on the battlefield for our bright future."

The head of the Russian House in Tskhinval Sergey Komissarov has noted that today Ossetia and Russia are close and united, as they have been for the past 250 years.

We are more united and stronger than ever. The example of this unity are also the Ossetian units - "Sarmat", "Alania" and other associations, which are now in the special military operation zone together with others defending our peaceful future," Komissarov said .

The National Unity Day is one of the youngest state holidays in Russia, celebrated annually since 2005.
