We have no right to forget any pain of the Ossetian people, South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev said at the memorial rally dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Tsinagar tragedy in April 1991.

The President stressed the importance of preserving historical memory and passing it on to future generations.

“Time does not erase the memory of tragedies, and such dates will forever remain in our hearts. We have gathered here to honor the memory of those whose lives were cruelly taken only because they were Ossetians and were striving for a free and independent Ossetia,” Gagloev said.

The President also focused on the fact of genocide against the Ossetian people.

"The tragedies occurred indicate that genocide was committed against our people," Gagloev has emphasized.

The head of state called for joint efforts to prevent the recurrence of such tragedies.

"Our sacred duty is to do everything possible for a peaceful future for our children. We see what is happening in the world, our youth is fighting fascism, defending freedom and justice. We are obliged to support them in this fight so that fascism never returns," the President said.

Gagloev has added that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, which serves as the example of courage and fortitude for everyone.
