In Tskhinval, Ruslan Kumaritov, perished while performing his military duty in the area of the special military operation in the Kursk direction, was seen off on his final journey.
The Republic's leadership, headed by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador Marat Kulakhmetov, representatives of the 4th military base, hundreds of the Tskhinval residents and Kumaritov's combat friends came to say goodbye to the soldier.
At the funeral service, the soldier's neighbors and relatives shared their memories of him, emphasizing what a kind, sympathetic person he was, always ready to help.
Marat Kulakhmetov spoke with words of deep sorrow and respect for the feat of the fallen soldier.
"Today we are bidding farewell to a true warrior, who was raised by South Ossetia. This land is proud of its heroes. Ruslan met death like a true soldier, he was not afraid of a bullet. People like him should be an example to everyone. Our land is proud of such soldiers. Those guys who were friends with him should always remember this hero. Looking death in the face, he despised fear. We must always remember such warriors. May the earth rest softly on him," Kulakhmetov said.
Ruslan was 30 years old. Two children were left without a father. For bravery and personal courage, Kumaritov was awarded the state awards of Russia - the Zhukov Medal and the "For Military Valor" Medal.
