South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev reported to President Alan Gagloyev on the results of his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The diplomats' working meeting took place in Sochi on October 1.

According to Dzhioev, the talks were productive.

"The meeting, as usual, took place in a warm atmosphere. We discussed the full range of bilateral relations and touched on various topics of interagency cooperation," he said.

Dzhioev placed particular emphasis on the gratitude and positive assessments conveyed by the Russian Minister.

"Sergey Viktorovich asked me to convey his gratitude for the good wishes you were sending." "He has particularly noted the importance of South Ossetia for Russia and its contribution, including in the special military operation zone," Dzhioev said.

According to him, the Russian Minister also highlighted the productive working atmosphere and contacts with the South Ossetian leadership. It was mentioned the May meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, as well as the warm conversation held on Russia Day.

"Sergey Lavrov highly appreciated the economic forum held in Tskhinval. He has noted that the implementation of the agreements reached there and the signed agreements will provide a strong impetus for South Ossetia's further development. He has particularly highlighted the socio-economic development program for 2026-2030, noting that with Russia's support, South Ossetia will be moving forward," Dzhioev has added.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Russia's commitment to the obligations it has undertaken to ensure South Ossetia's security.

In concluding his report, Akhsar Dzhioev emphasized the Russian side's continued hospitality.

"The Russian side's hospitality was once again confirmed, and I would like to take this opportunity to once again convey to you the words of gratitude and greetings from Sergei Viktorovich," he said.

According to Dzhioev, following the talks, a consultation plan was also signed between the Foreign Ministries of South Ossetia and Russia. This document, as noted by Akhsar Dzhioev, "envisages closer cooperation in various areas and more specific, mutual support for our shared efforts for our common development."
