At the last meeting of the Cooperation Commission of the Parliament of South Ossetia and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, a number of important issues related to support for participants in the special military operation were raised. This was announced by Soslan Gagiev, Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee, during a video conference in Tskhinval.
One of the key issues concerned assistance in opening the information center to support the special military operation participants.
According to Gagiev, this issue was also raised by the head of the Republic, Alan Gagloev, and is currently being considered by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"Furthermore, the meeting addressed the issue of assistance in searching for the missing South Ossetian citizens participating in the special military operation." At the previous meeting, a list of all the missing citizens, provided by the South Ossetian Ministry of Defense, was presented, and at this meeting we were provided with the information on some of them. The rest were included in the updated list, which was also shared with the Russian side. "I am extremely grateful to my colleagues for their assistance and the work they have done," Gagiev said.
He has noted that the issue of facilitating the construction of spa treatment facilities for the special military operation participants in South Ossetia was also discussed.
Gagiev emphasized that this would be the important step that would allow for the rehabilitation of not only the South Ossetian special operation participants but also the Russian citizens.
