One violation of the South Ossetian state border by the Georgian citizens has been recorded since the last meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms.
Yegor Kochiev, a head of the South Ossetian delegation to the IPRM, told journalists.
According to him, the final 129th IPRM meeting of the year took place on Monday in the village of Ergnet, during which the results of the year were partially summarized.
"In the month since the previous meeting, one violation by the Georgian citizens was recorded. The violator has been detained, and the investigation is currently underway," Kochiev has reported.
He has noted that no airspace violations were recorded during the reporting period. However, two violations were recorded by the European Union Monitoring Mission.
According to the South Ossetian party, one of these violations could have occurred due to the lack of awareness of the current situation, possibly due to the rotation of the observers.
"We have issued serious instructions to the leadership of the observer mission, drawing their attention to the unacceptability of such incidents," Kochiev has emphasized.
Furthermore, another violation was recorded in Leningor district, near the Razdakhaen crossing point.
The head of the delegation has also reminded previous violations near the village of Mugut-Chorbaul, where the EU mission patrol crossed the border this year.
According to him, following the intervention of the South Ossetian party and the raising of this issue during the negotiations, such violations ceased.
"We will investigate each incident until such violations are completely eliminated," Kochiyev has concluded.
