The period since the last meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) has been relatively calm, with a minimal number of state border violations. Yegor Kochiev, the head of the South Ossetian delegation to the IPRM, told reporters.
According to Kochiev, only three border violations were recorded during the reporting period. He noted no violations of the Republic's airspace.
"Our representatives observed unmanned aerial vehicles, but they were exclusively in the has Georgian airspace and did not cross the border," the head of the delegation has clarified.
Yegor Kochiev also reported one incident involving representatives of the European Union Monitoring Mission near the village of Koshka, in the Georgian territory.
"Most likely, the observer mission crossed the border unknowingly," he has explained.
Kochiev reminded that the agreements had previously been reached at the technical meetings regarding this section of the border, according to which neither mission representatives nor security structures would patrol either side.
The head of the South Ossetian delegation emphasized that there had been no violations by the Georgian police forces. No provocative actions by the Georgian citizens had been recorded.
The next, final IPRM meeting of the year is scheduled for December 22.
