The issue of removing the illegal Georgian post near the village of Uista, located in South Ossetia, once again has become a key point of discussion at the 128th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM).
Egor Kochiev, the head of the South Ossetian delegation to the IPRM, announced this to the journalists.
"This time, we cited the example of the former Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs, who later became Prime Minister, Giorgi Gakharia, who initiated the installation of the post. Gakharia, who is believed to be in Germany, has now been arrested in absentia by the Georgian Prosecutor's Office. Among the charges brought against him is attempting to destabilize the situation near the village of Uista, where the Georgian police post has been established," Kochiev has noted.
The South Ossetian party has emphasized that if the Georgian leadership acknowledges the error in establishing the post, the logical step would be to remove it from the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia.
