Not only military personnel of the Georgian army and leaders of the Georgian state, but also the Georgian population of adjacent territories, resettled by the Georgian authorities to the Ossetian land, took an active part in the genocide and devastation of South Ossetia in the 20s of the last century. They noted that a national minute of silence at 13.00 would honor the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Ossetian people.

Azamat Zasseev from South Ossetia took second place in freestyle wrestling at the BRICS games, the press service of the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports reports.

“Our athletes, Alan Zasseev (weight class 86 kg) and Azamat Dzhioev (weight class 79 kg), also took bronze in the competition,” the Committee has noted.

The BRICS Games are taking place in Kazan from June 11 to 24. Athletes from South Ossetia are competing in 5 types of sport. The Republic's delegation of 34 people is headed by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports Soslan Gassiev.

The Bendery tragedy united the people of Transnistria even more strongly in a decisive struggle for freedom and independence, protection of their future, their history, culture and language. This is stated in the note of condolences of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia to the foreign policy department of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in connection with the 32nd anniversary of the Bendery tragedy.

The South Ossetian Foreign Ministry has noted that June 19, 1992 is one of the most terrible dates in the history of Transnistria.

Ministry of Economic Development of South Ossetia will present a stand at the Caucasus Investment Forum in the Chechen Republic.

According to the press service of the Ministry, the event will take place on July 15-17.

Within the framework of the Days of the Ossetian Culture in Europe,the exhibition of the Ossetian artists has ended in Luxembourg. The representative of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry in the Benelux countries, Chairman of the International Non-Profit Association “Renaissance”, Radion Pukhaev, told IA “Res”.

According to him, the works of the Ossetian artists aroused great interest among the visitors.

“A certain stage of the Days of the Ossetian Culture in Europe has ended,” Pukhaev said. “We are planning to hold larger events in the fall,” Pukhaev said.

A participant in the special military operation, Azamat Kochiev, was awarded the state medal “Defender of the Fatherland” in Tskhinval. The award was presented to the fighter on behalf of President of the Republic by the head of the Defense Ministry Inal Sabanov, the press service of the department reports.

As noted by the Defense Ministry, the fighter from South Ossetia was presented a high award for courage and bravery shown in the performance of military duty during the special military operation.

The delegation of the Parliament of South Ossetia will take part in the International Parliamentary Forum of the CIS “Pushkin Readings”, which will be held in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the press service of the Republic’s legislative body reports.

As noted by the press service, the delegation has included Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-parliamentary Relations Zaza Driaev, Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Taxes Elena Dzhioeva and Secretary of the Commission on Inter-parliamentary Cooperation Zurab Kabisov.
