A participant in the special military operation, Azamat Kochiev, was awarded the state medal “Defender of the Fatherland” in Tskhinval. The award was presented to the fighter on behalf of President of the Republic by the head of the Defense Ministry Inal Sabanov, the press service of the department reports.
As noted by the Defense Ministry, the fighter from South Ossetia was presented a high award for courage and bravery shown in the performance of military duty during the special military operation.
“During the meeting with the fighter, the Minister noted the high morale, military valor and courage of our soldiers, both in the units of the Russian army and national volunteer units. The head of the defense department wished Azamat Kochiev good health and prosperity,” the press service has noted.
The Defense Ministry has also emphasized that, on the instructions of President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, participants in the special military operation and members of their families are in the area of special attention of the leadership of the Republic.
