One of the priorities of the Ministry of Economic Development of South Ossetia is to form a competent investment policy. As part of the Action Plan for the development of laws and other normative legal acts of the Republic in the sphere of investment activity, the judicial system, as well as civil and arbitration procedural legislation, the draft law "On investment activity in the Republic of South Ossetia " was introduced by the Ministry of Economic Development and approved at a meeting of the Government.

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov and Russian Presidential Aide Vladislav Surkov who has arrived in the Republic on a working visit, have inspected today the facilities under construction in the center of Tskhinval and discussed general plan of the town development.

President of the Republic of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov and Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladislav Surkov met with the heads of contractors involved in the construction in the framework of the Investment Program to promote socio- economic development of South Ossetia in 2014.
As IA "Res" has been informed in the press service of the President and the Government of South Ossetia, the meeting was also attended by Acting Prime Minister Domenty Kulumbegov, representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and the Ministry of Finance.

President of the Republic of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov has received today the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladislav Surkov, who has arrived in the Republic of South Ossetia on a two-day working visit.

The opening ceremony of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in its scope and scale eclipsed all previous similar events, said the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov on returning to Tskhinval from Sochi, where he had participated in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.
"This is an important event not only in the sports life of Russia, it is another powerful statement of Russia and we in South Ossetia should be proud that we have such a strategic partner and ally like Russia," - said the President during a meeting with heads of security, defence and law enforcement agencies.
The Head of State has noted that the presence at such an important event as the Olympic Games in Sochi is the evidence that the coordination between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation continues to strengthen.
"The Olympic Games in the life of the Russian state has shown that Russia is moving forward, strengthening its position. Together with its ally is also building and strengthening its statehood South Ossetia", - said the head of state, adding that "everyone should feel a party to this process."
The President has noted that the scope and scale of the opening ceremony of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi has eclipsed all previous similar events. He has also wished success to the national team of Russia.
"The first medals have already been won. I think that Russian athletes will gain a lead at the Olympics,"- said the President.

For several months the position of the Georgian diplomatic representation in Italy is characterized by shocking and arrogant obstinacy. It is the obstinacy that blocks any initiative, the only purpose of which is the desire for peace and coexistence of peoples, arising in our country with regard to South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Five years have passed since that terrible August night, when Georgian troops attacked the Ossetian people, destroying villages and exterminating civilians. But today, the only purpose of Georgians is still to prevent solidarity and cooperation, but not to apologize. Georgians need to understand that Italy is not any boondocks under their control, while Sardinia, in particular, has such a history and tradition of autonomy and independence that will not tolerate any arrogance or intervention. Residents of Lanusei, Association of friendship with South Ossetia have proved that it is possible not to follow the war path, but the other way. Stalin, the most "famous" Georgian has died long ago; have also passed away the defenders of the fatherland similar to him.

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov and the Head of the Executive Office of the President of the Russian Federation on socio-economic cooperation with the CIS states, the Republic of South Ossetia and Abkhazia Oleg Govorun have inspected today the construction and restoration of a number of facilities.
As reported IA "Res" a press Secretary of the President, in the course of the visit the head of state and the Russian official had inspected the road Gufta-Kvaisa, including the emergency section of the road, the reconstruction of which is a priority task.
Leonid Tibilov and Oleg Govorun visited the town of Kvaisa in Dzau district of the Republic, where they met with the teaching staff and pupils of the secondary school. They discussed proposals for financing the construction of a secondary school in Kvaisa in the framework of the Investment Program 2015-2017, inspected the premises adapted to the temporary school. It was noted that the beginning of the new school building was expected in 2015.
The tour participants have also inspected the construction of the four 36-apartment residential house in the Northern district, where they discussed the current operational issues.
On the conditions of rendering medical services at the Republican somatic hospital and at the maternity home in Tskhinval told Acting Health Minister Grigory Kulidzhanov. During the inspection of the hospital complex were considered financing issues of these objects within the framework of the Investment program for 2015-2017.
Leonid Tibilov and Oleg Govorun also visited the South Ossetian State University, where was discussed the construction of a new building for the university. In particular, it was proposed to consider the project to build a new university complex on its historic location.
During the trip, the President and the Russian government official visited the building of the Supreme Court, where they considered the proposals on financing the repair works of the object in 2015.
Leonid Tibilov and Oleg Govorun completed a trip on Theatre Square in Tskhinval, where discussed the plans for the architectural aspect of the town centre. The trip participants were accompanied by Acting Prime Minister Domenty Kulumbegov, Acting Minister of Construction Edward Dzagoev, specialists of the Ministry of Construction.
