Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia David Sanakoev has paid an official visit to Sukhum, where he has taken part in the events to mark the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
In the course of the visit, May 16, 2013 was held the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia David Sanakoev with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Vyacheslav Chirikba. They discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and signed a plan of consultations for 2013.

Here were killed thirty three Ossetians. They spent here the last minutes of this world. Twenty-one years ago, on the Zar road, the road of life, there was a tragedy that has shocked everyone. May 20, 1992 the Georgian armed gangs shot the defenseless women, children and the old people, who had been leaving the besieged Tskhinval. In the nineties the confrontation between Georgia and South Ossetia reached its climax. The war forced those who could not protect their home, children or themselves to leave their homes. People were leaving their sons and husbands, brothers and fathers, who were defending their homeland.

Next week in the Netherlands will start "The Days of the Ossetian culture in Europe." As reported to the news agency "Res" by one of the organizers of the exhibition, the head of the International non-profit association «Renaissance Sandidzan» Radion Pukhaev, "The Days of the Ossetian culture in Europe" will begin May 20 by opening the exhibition of the Ossetian artists (from a series of works of the project on the Ossetian culture and art "Arv-Art ") in the Flemish town of Hulst.

In Krasnodar (Russia) has opened the photo exhibition "Kosovo - South Ossetia: a view from inside", featuring the works of a photographer, journalist, member of the Union of Journalists of Russia Natalia Batraeva. As the news agency "Res" was informed by the author of the exposition, the photos had been taken in 2005 - 2012 in Kosovo and South Ossetia; the witnesses of military conflicts are depicted on these photos.

A round table on the topic "Message of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia and the priorities of the state-building: The estimates and conclusions" was held in the capital of South Ossetia. The event was organized by the State Committee of Information and Press of South Ossetia.
The roundtable was chaired by the head of the State Committee of Information and Press Vyacheslav Gobozov, who noted that the message of the President of the Republic to the parliament and to the people of South Ossetia, delivered on April 30, was a very remarkable and significant event.
