The adoption of the Declaration of Independence of South Ossetia followed on the second day after the collapse of the Soviet Union - Murat Dzhioev
December 21, 1991 was adopted the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia. This was an important political step in the establishment of statehood of the Republic of South Ossetia.
